Grenada is more than an excavation and demolition company — it’s a family legacy built on resilience, expertise, and decades of experience, now carried forward with a new generation of passion and growth.
In 2003, Angel Hristozov founded Initial Inc., quickly growing it into a thriving excavation and demolition business serving clients across Chicagoland. Known for integrity, precision, and reliability, the company expanded rapidly — building a full fleet of equipment and earning the trust of contractors throughout the region. When the 2008 economic downturn forced many businesses to close, Initial Inc. was no exception. But the foundation Angel built — both in skill and reputation — continued on.
In the years that followed, Angel ran his own company in California and Oregon, taking on some of the toughest terrains in the country. From cutting new roads through remote forests to grading steep slopes, his work required precision, adaptability, and professionalism at the highest level.
Today, with Grenada, that legacy has grown into a true family-owned company. Angel’s decades of experience are now joined by the next generation — his children — bringing fresh perspective, energy, and ambition. Together, we are combining proven expertise with new passion for building relationships, growing in our community, and delivering the highest quality of work across Chicagoland.
